As typical with the weekend after the Thanksgiving holiday, there was a significant drop in box office figures; but, once again, to absolutely no one’s surprise, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" lead the way, with $21.6 million, and nearly $258 million so far domestically. At the rate it’s going, the film will easily become the second largest grossing film in 2014, after "Guardians of the Galaxy."
As for the rest of the weekend’s list, it’s pretty much more of the same from the past few weeks. Coming in second, was Fox/Dreamworks "Penguins of Madagascar," followed by "Horrible Bosses 2."
