  • Maybe This Faux Home Mart Commercial Should’ve Been the Trailer for ‘The Equalizer’…

    Despite really anticipating it, before its release, and being a childhood fan of the TV series, I was actually quite underwhelmed with "The Equalizer" film adaptation, that starred Denzel Washington, under Antoine Fuqua’s direction.

    It didn’t add much to the "older, tough guy revenge movie" ethos (although maybe it didn’t intend to), and I liked Denzel a lot better in "Man on Fire," in a similar kind of introspective "man on a mission" role, protecting another young, white girl in Dakota Fanning, whose performance as an old soul, I actually liked more than what Chloë Grace Moretz was given to do in "Equalizer."
