According to Queens New York based filmmaker R. Shanea Williams there are very few films with African American protagonists that are complex and dynamic. But beyond that “black protagonists in horror are few and far in the realm of the genre”.
But both Williams and her producer Anthony Davis believe there are on the right track with their psychological horror short film currently in development “Paralysis” which they plan to shoot in New York this year.
