Star and director Don Cheadle has gone out his way to ensure that we all are fully aware that "Miles Ahead" is not a biopic.
It’s not a biopic, if I may reiterate, and the burden of expectation that comes along with that particular classification, is lifted. Cheadle essentially gave himself license to tell the story that he wanted to tell (one that isn’t entirely interested in fact, which isn’t a problem I should emphasize), exactly the way he wanted to tell it (an experiment, if you will).
