I actually wasn’t aware that a new "Power Rangers" movie was in the works; but maybe you guys were. Not that I’m exactly looking forward to it (I’m not), but *big* news like this rarely escapes me.
All that said, yes, Lionsgate has put into development a new "Power Rangers" movie that’s set for a 2017 release. The project is currently being cast, with Ludi Lin (as the Black Ranger), Naomi Scott (the Pink Ranger), Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger), and, announced today, “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” co-star, R.J. Cyler, has been cast as the Blue Ranger.
