  • Tupac Shakur Biopic Casts Its Lead, Biggie Smalls + Gets a Title, Launches Production (Set Pics)

    Newcomer Demetrius Shipp, Jr. has been cast to play Tupac Shakur in the long-in-development biopic of the late rapper/actor, which recently signed music video/commercial director Benny Boom to direct (replacing Carl Franklin), with filming currently underway in Atlanta.

    Also, Jamal Woolard has been cast as Biggie Smalls. You’ll recall Woolard also portrayed Smalls in the 2009 film "Notorious."

    It all started when Singleton shared that his involvement in the Tupac film had been put "on hold," as some key items apparently still hadn’t been completely…
