    • It’s Official – Ryan Coogler Will Direct Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’

    UPDATE: 1/11/2016: Confirming what was reported at the end of December, Marvel has indeed signed up Ryan Coogler to direct "Black Panther." The studio made the news official on its website today, as you can see in the above screen-grab. This likely means that any "Creed" sequel will not be directed by Coogler, given news earlier today that MGM had set a November 2017 release date for that film. Unless the studio is willing to wait for Coogler to finish his "Black Panther" duties, and, in essence, push the release date for "Creed 2" back another year or so.
