Veteran actor, Olumide Bakare is currently admitted at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo State after suffering from cardiac arrest. According to reports, the actor is currently in a critical condition with top medical experts battling to save his life. His younger sister, named Shade confirmed the tale and urges fans and friends to pray for the aged actor.
The actor whose career has spanned many decades, is said to be in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital battling for his life as cardiac experts rally round to save him. Bakare’s state of health has not been quite good since he was hit with cardiac arrest in early months of 2013.
Before now, the actor spoke to a soft sell magazine saying his ill health had not stopped him from indulging in drinking, smoking and sex.
“I have not out-rightly stopped but I have slowed down. I don’t know how to tell lies. I still smoke and drink. I still find time to sleep with women. But the truth is that I am not doing all these things as before. And the fact still remains that I am not properly married”, Olumide Bakare told Encomium magazine.
