It is the first pageant in Nigeria without “any height and body size restriction”. The primary mission of the pageant according to the organiser is to advocate for Women Empowerment, Gender Equality, Free Child Education, Free Medical Treatment for Pregnant Women, HIV/AIDS Eradication, Malaria and other Diseases and Green Earth and Peace Advocacy.
The pageant queens will also partner with some already established international and national humanitarian organisations and agencies such as United Nations, Rotary international, Red Cross Society and National Emergency Management Agency and many others to fight against, girl-child marriage, human right abuse, human trafficking, domestic violence against women, police brutality, kidnapping and corruption.
The pageant, according to the president cum CEO, Amb. Chris Odey is conceptualised to also educate the Nigerian youths to be their brothers’ keepers and to excel in all what they do in life. “It is from the stable of the organisers of the Nigeria Goodwill Ambassador Awards, which is also billed to be held on same date with the pageant at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on the November 2016.’ He said during a phone interview.
The Awards, which is on its 4th edition has seen notable Nigerians and non-Nigerians as recipients including LEADERSHIP Group Chairman, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah as one of its recipients. It is the annual gathering of top humanitarian providers, international organisations, business men and women, governors, first ladies, distinguished senators, ministers and honourable members, top nollywood actors and musicians were also on hand last year at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, which made the event one of the best in Abuja.
