Los Angeles is an incredible place filled with wonderful people, culture, and opportunities. Even so, sometimes you just gotta get the heck out of there for a few days in order to refresh, recharge, and realize how great you have it. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right? Right, so here are seven of the best weekend getaways for an L.A. actor to take, all within a few hours of the city. Now get to work on that itinerary!
Paso Robles: About three hours north of Los Angeles, Paso Robles is known for its wine and olives so, really, what’s not to love? Check out the Paso Robles Pioneer Museum to scope historical artifacts from the 19th century before picnicking at the hill-encompassed Barney Schwartz Park.
Santa Barbara: Santa Barbara, also known as an American Riviera, is a perfect confluence of Southern and Northern California culture. Even though it’s much closer to the former geographically, it has the upscale shopping and restaurant offerings of the latter, in addition to some of the state’s finest locally sourced wines. Stay the weekend or, since the trip can be made in under two hours, drive up for a single lux Sunday.
