Popular Nollywood actor and comedian, Okon Lagos, whose real name is Imeh Umoh, has been appointed special assistant by the Akwa Ibom State governor, Udom Emmanuel.
Okon is now Special Assistant on Ethical and Social Reorientation to Mr. Emmanuel.
The actor confirmed the appointment on his Instagram page and also appreciated the governor for the new job.
“Yes it’s true… been made Special Assistant to the Governor on Ethical and Social Reorientation, Akwa Ibom State. Thank you Gov. Udom Emmanuel. Most above all, thank you, Jesus!” he wrote.
The comedian got the name Okon Lagos from the lead role he played in the movie Okon Lagos, which also brought him to limelight.
He later did Okon Goes to School, A Wish and the several others.
Imeh Umoh is one of the best comic actors Nigeria has produced.
He has won the hearts of fans both locally and internationally.
